Editorial Review Sony delivers one of the best-looking, best-playing rally car games for the PlayStation with the Codemasters-developed Colin McRae Rally. Players must pick from 11 world rally cars and play for the best times on 48 courses in 8 countries, including New Zealand, Greece, and the United Kingdom. Racers encounter mud, snow, and gravel--all of which collects on cars as each race goes on. The elements can also inflict damage on your vehicle, which adds to the challenge. A British codriver guides players through runs, while the rally school can help beginners with their skills. There's even a two-player option that can be used with single rally, championship, and time-trial modes. Control in this game is great, despite the varying track surfaces and weather conditions, and players even have to manage courses at night. Luckily, gear ratios, tires, brakes, and suspension can be modified to suit any and all changes. The best game for playstation! I play it so much that I have to limit my playing to make certain that I don't get bored with it! Really I doubt you can get bored with such a fun game! You should by the Colin Mcrae 2 after about a month of playing! its great! enjoy!

one of the worst racing games ever made. real recomended age- 99-100...if your that old, you won't notice the bad parts of the game, and won't even know ur playing it!
Rating : A "Poopy-load" of FUN, December 31, 2000
By J. Moro "JM" (Stratford, NJ USA) This is a great game. One of the best for Rally driving/racing fun. I also have GT2 and even though the tracks and myriad of cars is incredible, the rally portion of the game isn't. If you want to play in the dirt, this is the game to own. Outstanding all the way - even with the sounds of crinkling glass as you slide into the trees. Love every moment of it.

I bought the game a year ago and addicted to it.Tried many other auto games but could not find a better one.Car's reactions to a controller are very realistic.If you get into snow ,car slows down like in a real world or if you dive into mud near the roadside ,that side of wheel pulls that side etc. Unbelievable. But remember that Americans do not used to rally.You don't race against others at the same time,you race against time.So ,buy it you won't regret. |
